I am Maggy Henry, a poet who writes simply to write. I don’t believe in rules, punctuation or grammar when it comes to poetry. Everything has a meaning whether it’s hidden or a written metaphor. The beauty in poetry is that every person who reads it can connect with the words in their own way. Sometimes connecting in completely different ways than you may have intended. That’s the whole point. One moment you’re having a panic attack and the next you’ve made sense of it through writing. I could never get into journaling because the words I had to write were too head on, honest but uncomfortable. I needed a way I could express my thoughts and emotions without having to say certain words or rather explain them.
